Being small has its advantages — it allows us to personalize your visit with a Private Winemaker Guided Tasting and Tour. New to 2026, you can now choose between our popular Classic Experience or select from a rotating offering of Themed private winemaker guided tasting and tours. Our Tasting and Tour experiences bring you right into the vineyard and the winery, with winemakers John and Karen, where they happily share their knowledge and expertise… and wines! These uniquely Poca Terra Winery experiences are designed to entertain, educate, and cultivate a passion for this most spiritual of beverages.
Some guests are looking for a more casual experience. Feel free to stroll through the ever-changing vineyard or relax under ancient oak trees with a glass or bottle of our award-winning wine. Not sure what to try? We offer a self-guided wine flight for sampling a selection of our wines. However you spend your time, unwind, savor, and create lasting memories at Poca Terra Winery. Don’t forget to take home a few bottles to share!
We offer a variety of Picnic Packages to meet your needs. No outside food or beverages, please.

Wine Tastings and Tours
Private Winemaker Guided Tour & Wine Tasting:
$35 per person
Join us, John and Karen, the founders and winemakers of Poca Terra Winery, for the ultimate visitor experience. We’ll start with a walk through the vineyard to explore the agricultural aspects of winemaking, followed by a tour of our wine production area for a behind-the-scenes peek at the winemaking process. Then we’ll guide you through a tasting of our finished products — award-winning Poca Terra wines!
New to 2026, in addition to our Classic Tasting & Tour, we will be offering a rotation of Themed Tasting & Tour Experiences where we will focus in on various aspects of winemaking, including such themes as:
- The spirituality of wine
- Making sparkling wines by the traditional champagne method
- Wine and food pairings
- Barrels and winemaking
- Corks are important, too!
- Veraison (ripening of the grapes) and grape chemistry
- The role of temperature and aeration in wine tasting

As the ultimate visitor experience, expect to spend about 1.5 hours enjoying these fun and informative experiences, each designed to cultivate a passion and appreciation for wine. And you will leave with newfound knowledge to share at your next gathering. Limited to parties of 6 or fewer guests aged 21 and over.
*Due to the nature of this Tour, children (including infants) and pets cannot accompany the Tour.

Experience a personalized wine tasting at Poca Terra Winery with winemakers John and Karen. Enjoy the winery’s history, learn about winemaking, and sample six wines in a one-hour outdoor session. Perfect for beginners or wine enthusiasts, our private tastings are tailored to your interests and accommodate up to 8 guests.
Our very popular Private Winemaker Guided Tasting and Tour experiences are reservation-preferred. Walk-ins are accommodated based on availability.
Self-Guided Wine Flights
$15 for 4 different wine samples
Not sure which wines to try? A flight of four different wines lets you sample a variety of flavors, making it easy to find your favorites. It’s a laid-back and fun way to get a true taste of Poca Terra Winery! Drop in and enjoy a sampling of your choice of four Poca Terra wines off our menu.
Picnic at the Vineyard
Grab your favorite people, a charcuterie kit, a bottle of our exceptional wine, and get ready for an unforgettable picnic at our enchanting vineyard! Immerse yourself in the picture-perfect scenery of the vineyard while indulging in a selection of savory cured meats, cheeses, and spreads, while sipping a glass of fine wine and enjoying the company of your loved ones. Choose a Picnic Package to match your appetite. (Please, no outside food or beverages allowed on the premises.)
